I am planning to set up a /P field station during my holiday in Ireland, activating some fairly rare West Coast squares during the 2013 Sporadic-E season.

Onsite from 31/05/2013 to 05/06/2013. Prefix will be 'EJ'.
IO55: from Arranmore Co. Donegal, IO55ra (primary QTH).
IO54: from Arranmore Co. Donegal, IO54rx (alternative QTH).

Onsite from 07/06/2013 to 11/06/2013:
IO44: from the Mullet peninsula, IO44wc or IO43xc.

Onsite from 13/06/2013 to 16/06/2013:
IO43: from the historic Marconi transmitter site near Clifden, Connemara, IO43xk.

Station 1 / mast 1: 4 el. 4m Yagi, ME4T transverter (25W).
Station 2 / mast 2: 3 el. 6m Yagi, FT-857 (25W).
Station 2 / mast 3: 6 el. 2m Yagi, FT-857 (25W).

Frequencies: 50.150 USB, 70.200 USB, 144.300 USB.

Where 70.200MHz is not in your country allocation I can work split (DL) or QSY up (OH) or down as required. I will be listening cross-band on 50.285MHz for countries where 4m band is not permitted. I will announce when split/X-band.

In response to email received from the USA: I will be listening out on 6m and point the Yagi west, only the Atlantic in between, hi! A 4m/6m QSO would be really cool!

Principal propagation modes: ES, TR.

Signal take-off is clear all around except for 160-180 degrees due to mountains.

The station will be set up every morning and taken down every evening. Equipment will be powered by 12V batteries which will be charged overnight.

Field set up is subject to WX conditions (I will use wire antennas if too much wind) and site access / permission.

QSL via home call / bureau.

Sorry no access to Internet onsite so no KST Chat, Shouts, DX Cluster or email.

This is my holiday, I am not QRV 24 hrs nor QRO, will be mainly RX (band check + propagation beacons) to conserve battery power, I'd like the /P experience to be enjoyable.

CU on 6m / 4m / 2m.

Working schedule: Start June 08.2013 morning hours depends on arrival and station assembly on field. QRV probably till late afternoon. Some breaks for beer or friends chat possible, if any - will be announced on KST as well as QRG.

Remember - SP3RNZ/3 transmit 1st period. If You hrd me - call with report. As GPRS/WiFi permits, log will be on shouts, as other usefull informations. Skeds for Germany and Italy on R1 KST also possible on request.
Es propagation takes priority if any, then MS FSK.

Special QSL will be ready after the DXP, like last time in JO82.
Due to increasing costs of Post fees, decided to change way of handling QSL's. Please do not send me your QSL. Save it for DX Be green! :-) I just don't need your QSL for pedition call.

You can simply request it by Paypal sending amount of 2 Euro to my address logerxp@gmail.com and notify me about payment.
It will cover QSL, envelope, and postages.

Hope to see You on air.

Link to DX-pedition DH8BQA/MM & CO. - Maritime Mobile activation
Going to activate the wet squares while on the ferry to LY if no problems aboard. Watch out on 144.358 MHz +/- ship-QRM for MS activity (random only). Throwing in some tropo QSOs in-between, will be long enough in all squares.

Estimated square passing times: JO74 from 20:30z to 0:30z, JO75 from 0:30z to 1:30z, JO85 from 1:30z to 5:30z, JO95 from 5:30z to 9:30z, KO05 from 9:30z to 13z. No guarantees, depending on weather, captain's decision, etc. So better plan some reserve time if you want to work us. ;-) Besides this we will need some time to set up & take down the equipment so expect us to stop early in KO05 but that should be a non-brainer as we will be in KO05 the following days (setting up will be in JO64 so probably no time issue).

6 m only if band open, just a quarter wave whip on the ship. If open we will hang around 50.183 MHz ...

QTF west over south to east. Sorry, no possibility to north as the ferry itself will be blocking. Going back the same route on June 18 to 19. Look for some additional activity then.
